Scatter Plot
A scatter plot is simply a plot of paired values (the first one on x-axis against the second on y-axis) from the respective variables:
AGAINST
It displays a scattering of the data, and might suggest a dependency (or a relationship) of the two variables. They have a positive association when the values of one variable tend to increase as the values of the other variable increase. On the other hand, they are said to have a negative association when the values of one variable decrease as the values of the other variable increase. If we can observe neither of the associations, we often conclude that there is no relationship between the two variables.
